The Kamat Restaurant is creating waves in Oman. To test out whether it’s indeed worthy of its popularity, we headed there.
To start, we opted for a Chilly Idly and Paneer Rolls. The former stood out with its strong flavours, while the paneer set the tone right for what followed.
Our next choice was the Gujarati Thali – complete with paneer curry, dal tarka (lentil), zucchini, curd, roti, rice and carrot halwa.
The standout dishes were the dal tarka and the paneer, but the rotis were definitely heavy on maida (processed flour). The carrot halwa was delicious.
