September 2019, Muscat: The Sultanate of Oman will host the Middle East and North African Technology Innovation Forum for Education during 15- 17 September 2019 in Muscat, as announced by HE. Dr Abdullah Bin Mohammed Al- Sarmi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Higher Education, Head of MENA Innovation forum.
The MENA Technology Innovation Forum, which is organized by Oman’s Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with Brains Global, aims to exchange experiences, policies and experiences in how to enhance the capabilities of young people, and empower them with entrepreneurial skills, which will help the youth to solve challenges they may face. In addition, it supports the efforts aimed to achieve the aspirations of Omani youth, in line with the vision of the future of Oman 2040.
“The organizers of the forum will play their continued role in ensuring contemporary education fosters a more conducive climate for entrepreneurship and job creation, building a foundation of sustainable economic growth capable of contributing to GDP development.” stressed, HE Dr. Al- Sarmi.
The forum is expected to be attended by more than 15 regional ministers, representatives of 70 companies in the fields of education, communications, information technology and innovation, in addition to decision makers of policies in the industry sector.
The audience also includes local, regional and international private sector organizations, Arab and foreign businessmen and investors in the field of ICT recruitment in the education sector in the Middle East and North Africa.
The discussion panels of the forum will focus on debates and dialogue on several critical issues, pertaining to how best it is to empower and equip the youth from across the region with both the skills and technologies necessary to flourish and spur future creativity within the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
HE Dr. Al Sarmi pointed out that the forum will include special meetings between government officials, civil society organizations and ICT leaders, to highlight the importance of benefiting from the event by the Sultanate of Oman, where there is a huge presence of international companies who will be participating in the forum.
