September 2019, Muscat, (ONA): Represented by the Oman Export Credit Guarantee Agency (CREED), The Sultanate of Oman will host the 10th Annual Meeting of Aman Union Members on Tuesday October 1 at the Grand Hormuz Hotel Muscat.
National and regional export credit guarantee agencies for Arab and Islamic countries will be present during the meeting, which will be under the patronage of H.E. Yahya bin Said Al Jabri, Chairman of the Special Economic Zone Authority at Duqm and Chairman of the General Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development (Ithraa).
The meeting will discuss several important topics related to insurance and development issues of the performance of the work of credit guarantee agencies in the Arab and Islamic member countries.
Aman, whom the Sultanate was a member of since 2009, aims to strengthen the bonds of cooperation between its members in order to promote export credit insurance sectors in the Arab and Islamic countries, to develop the work system and joint cooperation, and activating the role of Arab and Islamic national security bodies in serving the economy of their countries.
Additionally, Aman Union is a professional forum assembling commercial & non-commercial risks insurers and reinsurers in member countries of the organization of the Islamic Conference and of the Arab Investment & Export Credit Guarantee Corporation (DHAMAN).
Aman Union was launched on October 28 in 2009 following an agreement between DHAMAN and the Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC) to join their efforts for establishing a union for commercial and non-commercial risks insurers and reinsurers in their respective member countries.
