September 2019, Muscat, (ONA): The Omani Society for Fine Arts is organizing an Omani Indian Visual Arts Exhibition at its headquarters in Al Sarooj, in collaboration with the Indian Embassy in the Sultanate.
The exhibit is under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Diplomatic Affairs, and in presence of H.E. Munu Mahawar, the Indian ambassador to the Sultanate.
The four day exhibition, lasting from September 25-28, displays 75 joint artistic works by sixteen Omani and Indian artists in the artistic fields of painting, photography, processing and sculpture.
The majority of these fine artworks highlight the identity of each country in a way that makes modernity as a window, which allows both parties to blend their local practices with the cross-border globalization spaces.
This joint exhibition represents a link through which the Omani artist and his Indian counterpart gather under one roof to exchange different artistic experiences between them. It reflects the depth of the bilateral cultural Omani – Indian relationship, which contributes to enhance the people’s strong connection in the two countries.
