Oman vs. Saudi to qualify for 2020 Asian Cup

September 2019, Muscat, (ONA):  In a continuation of its participation in the last round of the Group D AFC Asian u-16 qualifications, the Omani National Junior Football Team will play against the Saudi host team tomorrow, Monday September 23, at Al Dhmam, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to qualify for the finals of Asian Cup 2020 in Bahrain.

The two teams are at the top of group D with 6 points. However, the goal difference is in favor of the Saudi team, which has a balance of eight goals, where three goals have been scored in its goal nets, whereas the Oman National Junior Football Team has three goals and its goal nets are so far clean of any goals.

The National team coach, Hilal Al-Oufi, hopes that the Junior Football Team takes the win and hijacks the direct qualification card to the Asian Cup finals.

The match between the Oman National Junior Football Team and the Saudi team will be the last match in the qualifiers. Teams who win first place from the total eight groups will qualify for the finals, while the other best four teams will get second place, and will be joined by the team of the host country that receives a direct qualification card.
