September 2019, Muscat, (Al Wisal): The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) issued the first report on the tropical state, saying that The National Multi Hazard Early Warning System (NMHEWS) has issued a warning on a tropical depression formed to the east of the Arabian Sea near the Indian coast today, Sunday September 22 2019.

The surface wind speed around the depression is estimated to be between 17 and 27 knots, and is located on the latitudinal line 20 degrees north, and longitudinal line 69 degrees east, 150 km away from the Indian Coasts, whereas it is 900km away from the nearest coastal point in the Sultanate (Masirah).

The latest numerical forecasts suggest that the tropical depression may move west to northwest towards the center of the Arabian Sea, with the possibility of it turning into a deeper depression over the next 24 hours.

Specialists at the NMHEWS continue to analyze and follow up on the latest developments hourly, while PACA urges everyone to keep up with the weather bulletins and reports on the situation.
