Rejoice, shoppers! The world’s largest furniture store – IKEA – has opened up its UAE portal to Oman, allowing residents to choose from its wide inventory of products.
This is the first time residents of Oman will have direct access to the online store, and the deliveries will be fulfilled by stores in the UAE.
The cost of delivery as per the portal stands at RO10.48 (Dhs100) for standard deliveries (irrespective of cost of product) and RO26.2 (Dhs250) for pre-assembled goods.

However, the store stated that the cost of delivery will be based on the weight and size of the order – meaning, the final cost may vary.
Customers can begin the process by choosing their favourite products online and checking out using Visa or Mastercard.
As an added bonus, the store seems to have covered areas outside the Muscat Governorate, too.
In an online press release, officials at IKEA stated: “Founded in Sweden more than 76 years ago, IKEA is the world’s largest home furnishing retailer with more than 400 stores across 50 countries. Today, we are preparing to create a better everyday life for the many in Oman.
“With online shopping from our UAE website and delivery to Oman, you will have easy access to a wide range of well-designed and functional home furnishing products at low prices.”
