Ten people were arrested on the charges of violating manpower and residency laws, and human trafficking, today [March 25, 2019].
The arrests occurred over two separate cases in Bausher and Muttrah and the offenders were revealed to be of Asian descent. Cases were charged against them for engaging in human trafficking and prostitution.
A source at the Royal Oman Police then revealed that two suspects of Asian nationality were arrested for detaining three other Asian females who entered the Sultanate illegally inside a building in Muttrah where they were forced into prostitution.
In another case, ROP in Bousher arrested two men and three women of Asian nationality for the same offense.
