Top dog Canada-based entertainment company and theatrical producer Cirque Du Soleil will host the largest of its kind event in Oman for the very first time in March.
Slated to take place in the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre (OCEC) from the 28th of March onwards, the event – dubbed, ‘BAZZAR’ – will see the company join hands with Alchemy Project Entertainment and Omantel.
The event will run until April 6th, 2019, under the brand’s iconic production title, Big Top.
In a statement to the media, the CEO of the Alchemy Project Entertainment, Mac S.Far, was quoted as saying: “We are very proud to bring Cirque du Soleil BAZZAR, the latest Cirque du Soleil production, to the very first time to Oman.
“The show will present the best of Cirque du Soleil’s DNA and take the audience back to the elements that make Cirque du Soleil magical and gives it its WOW factor (!)
“As Alchemy Project, we will be touring across new markets that Cirque du Soleil has not visited in order to expose this masterpiece to audiences who have never seen this show.
“We will be visiting six countries, three continents, organizing over 130 shows within over 210 touring days.
Tickets are already available for purchase; albeit only online for now. You can visit www.tixbox.com for making bookings. Prices will start at RO25, though Omantel customers can enjoy up to 40 per cent off during the early bird period.
Ali Kashoob, the Senior Manager at Omantel’s Marketing Communications and Performance, said, “Omantel is keen on sponsoring a variety of events that are important and touch the lives of a large segment of the society – and ‘Cirque Du Soleil BAZZAR’ live performance is one among many that the company has sponsored.
“We are delighted to sponsor this live show as part of our wider ‘Amazing Happens Together’ campaign that is designed to evoke positive emotions and touch people’s lives by reminding them of the importance of everyday human connections.”
He also added: “The event is a good opportunity to attract tourists from neighbouring countries, which comes in line with Omantel’s efforts to promote tourism. Tourists can enjoy this unique live show in the welcoming and hospitable atmosphere of the Sultanate, in addition to visiting the rich natural, historic and cultural attractions that it boasts.”
Originally started as a team of 20 street performers in 1984, Cirque du Soleil Entertainment Group completely reinvented circus arts and went on to become a world leader in live entertainment.
