More than 200 companies from 18 countries will participate in the 8th edition of Oman Health Exhibition and Conference set to be held at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre from September 24 to 26.
According to the exhibition organiser Omanexpo, more than 30 hospitals from India will be taking part in the three-day event, which is being held in conjunction with Oman Medical Association (OMA). “We also have a delegation from Iran and Taiwan who will bring in a consortium of top manufacturers of medical devices and exporters,” said Ahmed Sayeed, Exhibition Director at Omanexpo. The India pavilion is represented by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI).
Apart from the exhibition, the three-day scientific conference will present topics, sessions and workshops covering general surgery, paediatrics, medicine, quality management, medical ethics and legal concerns, patient safety and risk management, and medical errors, and other topics reflective of the current issues in Oman’s health and medical sector and in line with the government’s strategies outlined in its Health Vision 2050.
More than 7,000 people are expected to visit the three-day exhibition. “Last year we had 6,000 visitors and this year we are looking for more than 7.000 visitors,” Sayeed added.
