The Mall of Muscat that is expected to change the face of Muscat is on track for completion, and is expected to open doors to the public by the third quarter of 2018.
Recently, officials from the Directorate General of the Muscat Municipality visited the Mall of Muscat project site to review and discuss services that will be required to facilitate the completion of the project, reported local daily Oman Observer.
The destination mall, when opened, will include VOX cinema, the biggest Lulu hypermarket in the country, a four-star hotel and service apartments, and an amphitheater.
Once completed, it is expected to create 12,000 jobs for Omanis.
In 2015, an agreement was signed for Dusit International Hospitality Group to manage and operate the hotel and suites at the mall (formerly known as the Palm Mall).
The four-star hotel will include 150 guest rooms and 100 private suites.
