Oman wins gold in global photography competition

Oman won the gold medal in the 19thFIAP Nature Biennial 2018 and the Honorary Award in the 34thBlack and White Biennial organized by the International Federation of Photographic Arts (FIAP).



With 232 points, the Sultanate represented by the Photographic Society of Oman won the gold medal ahead of the silver medalist Saudi Arabia who got 221 points. South Africa got the silver medal with 205 points. With a total of 248 points, Russia topped the charts by winning the World Cup in the Digital Photo competition.

The Photographic Society of Oman exhibited 10 works in Omani Turtle theme. hotographer Ismail bin Abdullah Al Farsi won the individual level.

Meanwhile, Oman also won an honorary award in Black and White Biennial. — Oman News Agency
