ROP rescues stuck climbers from this mountain in Oman

A group of adventurists who were injured and stranded were brought to safety in a rescue operation by the Royal Oman Police (ROP) and a team of paramedics from the Royal Oman Police hospital, yesterday [Saturday, July 14th]. 



The tourists had been trying to scale Jebel Shams – the tallest peak in the Sultanate.


The ROP reported: “Police and a team of paramedics from the Royal Oman Police hospital carried out a rescue operation to save a group of foreign tourists who became stuck while climbing Jebel Shams in the wilayat of Al Hamra in the governorate of Al Dakhliyah.”

“First aid was provided to those injured and five people were transferred to Nizwa Hospital,” it added.
