A fire broke out in a house in Nizwa today [Wednesday, July 18], leaving three people – including two Omanis – injured, according to a statement released by the Public Authority for Civil Defence and Ambulance (PACDA).

No further information on the cause of the incident was made available, but it is known that the firemen were able to douse the fire before it caused further damage or spread to other buildings.

In a statement online PACDA said: “Two nationals were rescued by the PACDA team. [They were] transported to the hospital. They received moderate injuries as a result of the fire.”
