Working hours for Ramadan announced in Oman

The Ministry of Manpower officials have revealed the working hours for private sector employees for the month of Ramadan.

According to a statement on Wednesday, Muslim employees will now work for only six hours a day, 30 hours a week.

“Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser Al Bakri, Minister of Manpower issued a ministerial decree to reduce working hours during the holy month of Ramadan in companies, institutions and private sector facilities for Muslims. [Muslim employees will now work] six hours a day at a rate of 30 hours per week.
