Music for the upcoming Prabhudheva-starrer ‘Mercury’ is done by composer Mithoon. According to Mithoon, composing music for the movie was an adventurous process.

He had to recreate music that’s metaphorically reflective of the film’s narrative but not the film. The ‘Tum hi ho’ composer had to create a nine-minute piece where the music will incorporate a deeper aspect of the narrative and the dance of Prabhudheva.

The word mercury, retained in the song by lyricist Sayeed Quadri, brings dynamism to the song. In the nine-minute part there is a piece that goes into complete silence for a moment and raises up with a zombie dance by Prabhudheva. The movie is set for release on April 13.

Chennai band Sapta’s next is a concept-based album on equality. Sapta have launched seven albums so far and their versatile compositions have caught the attention of many. The eighth one set for release on July 7 highlights the essence of standing together as humans. There will be a story to the entire album. There will be seven songs in the album.
