On Tuesday, the Sultanate’s national airline Oman Air celebrates 25 years of flying.
The celebration comes together with the opening of the new Muscat International Airport terminal.
“Thank you All! You made this possible – a momentous, trailblazing flight to success. Let’s celebrate with sweet treat,” said Oman Air on Twitter.

In 1993, Oman Air launched its first international flights to Dubai and Trivandrum, India. Today, it flies to 55 destinations all over the world. Oman Air is currently undergoing an exciting fleet and network expansion programme, which will see the airline operate up to 62 aircraft to some 60 destinations by 2022. The national carrier has come a long way, much like the Sultanate, since then. In the past 25 years, Oman has modernised, becoming a go-to destination for world travellers.
