Dr. Mohammed bin Hamad Al Rumhi,Oman’s Minister of Oil and Gas, has reiterated that it is difficult for the Sultanate to “stay away from oil and gas production.”
Rumhi was speaking at the opening of Oil and Gas West Asia (OGWA) conference at the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre on Sunday.
Speaking at the conference titled ‘Staying the Course and Moving to New Frontiers’, Rumhi said: We in the government hope to stick with austerity measures and the new upcoming initiatives. I think we have no choice.”
Around 400 companies from 19 countries will take part in the three-day exhibition starting tomorrow.
