More than 80 families and 45 craftsmen are taking part in Muttrah Heritage and Tourism Festival, which began its activities on 14 March and continues until 28 March 2018 in Riyam Park.
The Productive Families Committee set up pavilions for participating families to display their products of handicrafts, perfumes, incense, sewing and embroidery.
Twenty local artists and 10 from outside the Sultanate displayed their work on a boat at the iconic Muttrah Corniche.
The festival also shows artistic performances of the traditional teams from many wilayats, in addition to the competition of plastic arts and painting of the various features of the Wilayat of Muttrah.
The Wilayat of Muttrah is one of the oldest cities in the Sultanate, dating back to about 3000 BC.
located in the northeastern part of the Sultanate, Muttrah overlooks the coast of the Sea of Oman.
