SalamAir said it has set a long-term strategy to attract more Omani talent to the aviation industry.
“Oman’s aviation industry has undergone great developments thanks to the large number of government-led projects and investments. That coupled with the country’s strategic geographical location at the crossroad of east and west, has set the Sultanate on a growth trajectory,” said Captain Mohamed Ahmed, CEO of SalamAir.
In a press release, SalamAir said that Captain Salim Al Khatri, an aviation veteran, will lead SalamAir’s Crew Training.
“Tasked with establishing an inhouse training program and increasing efficiency, Al Khatri will play an important role in recruiting and retaining Omani pilots who will join the ranks of the airline’s growing team,” the budget airliner said.
