Muscat Bay recently hosted a ‘Yogathon’ on February 9 and 10 at their Experience Centre.
The ‘Yogathon’ was organised by Yoga Shaala in commemoration of their First Anniversary in Oman and features a community-driven and grassroots celebration of yoga.
The event featured a lineup of local and foreign yoga instructors offering classes and workshops on yoga, movement, and meditation. It also brought together about 100 local yoga enthusiasts for an interplay of yoga, sound (voice, music and breath), and life.
Commenting on the event, Paul Jessup, Vice President of Sales and Marketing in Muscat Bay said, “Muscat Bay is an exquisitely beautiful resort village destination, still relatively unknown, and only 15 minutes from downtown Muscat.
The key motive of our partnership with Yoga Shaala is creating unique events that enhance our perception as an address of choice, and also to involve like-minded friends to help grow our community. Our optimal beachfront and wadi location ensure that we are close enough to the city so that we are easily accessible and yet give our visitors the feeling of being far from downtown, thus allowing our visitors to escape their busy city lives. It is these qualities that make Muscat Bay the ideal place to host activities as relaxing as yoga.”
