Ooredoo will cover more than 90 per cent of Oman with a 4G network by year-end, its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ian Dench, has informed.
According to Dench, Ooredoo is planning to have 1,600 sites around Oman for 4G connection. “We cover 55 per cent of the country and our staffs are laying more than 70 sites for 4G connection every month to achieve the target,” he said at a press conference.
“This will enable Ooredoo to boost its 4G network coverage to 90 per cent of Oman’s population, he added.
