According to sources, the goalkeeper is set to sign a two-year deal with the Saudi club.
Oman’s football hero Ali Al-Habsi is being strongly linked with a move away from Reading FC to Saudi Arabia’s Al-Hilal Club. According to reports from London, Al Habsi is closing in on a switch to Al-Hilal and a deal could be announced in the next couple of days.
According to sources, the goalkeeper is set to sign a two-year deal with the Saudi club and earn around £1.5m a year.
Reading FC will receive just over £600,000 as a transfer fee in two installments, according to the report.
However, Al-Habsi signed a new contract with Reading in January, tying him down until the summer of 2019 in Berkshire.
The 35-year-old goalkeeper played a key role in Reading’s season last year, helping them reach the Championship play-off final.
