Oman health: Relaxed sick leave for expatriates

The new decision was signed by the Chairman of the Civil Service Council on Tuesday.



Medical leave for expatriates working in the government sector have been relaxed.

According to a decision taken by the Civil Service Council, expats working for the government no longer have a fixed time limit on paid leave. In the past, the time limit was three months of medical leave, which can be extended to one more month if the illness was caused by work injury.

The new decision was signed by the Chairman of the Civil Service Council on Tuesday.
