We goes on the hunt for the king and queen of cool of Muscat’s College campuses with our very own Y’s Got Talent competition. Impress our judges and you could win a share of RO4,500 in prizes.

Congratulations to Kais Noorzaman Al Zadjali and Wiam Saif Hamood Al Habsi, who have been crowned Mr and Ms Talented of Majan College!

Kais impressed the judges with his sublime guitar performance while Wiam won the female category for her clever rapping.

But with so much talent on show, which included singing, acting, hip-hop and keyboard performances, the judges said it was difficult to find the winners.

But at the end of the day, it was Kais and Wiam who clinched a place in the Y’s Got Talent Grand Finale.

“It felt awesome and all the other participants were amazing,” said an excited Kais after his win. “All I can say is for everyone to support their local musicians/talents.”

Meanwhile, Wiam said she couldn’t believe that she’d won her category: “I have been in a great experience because I entered the competition and then the shock was that I performed and won the female competition.”

Presented by Nestle, powered by Renault, and in association with VLCC, The Sultan Centre and Pizza Muscat, Y’s Got Talent aims to find the most talented university students in Muscat and reward them with exciting prizes.

With just four auditions remaining, our talent-hunting emcee and panel of judges are now taking a break for the Holy Month of Ramadan. But they will be back for the remaining auditions, scouring each of the participating colleges to assess applicants based on their two minutes in the spotlight. Once the votes are in, one boy and one girl from each college will go forward to the Grand Finale and compete against winners from the other colleges taking part.

Whoever is named Mr Talented and Ms Talented from each college audition will receive each RO150 worth of vouchers for their efforts, as well as the chance to win even more in the Grand Finale.

The winners of each college audition will then face off against each other for the glory of being crowned overall Mr and Ms Talented, as well as the opportunity to lay their hands on a cash prize of RO250 each plus RO200 worth of vouchers!
